It was Alayna’s first day as a sunbeam yesterday. I am so proud. I heard from her teacher that she did really well. I know she enjoys being with other kids in a structured environment. She even gets to give her first talk this month. She also started a new session of gymnastics this week and is loving it, of course. We have finally gotten her to start going to sleep by herself using an incentive chart. Boy has that been a relief! We did have one incident this weekend where she dumped almost all the water out of her bath onto the floor and it went through the vents and poured out of the bathroom vent downstairs, but thats ok. At least the incidents of obnoxiousness are getting less frequent.
I think I may have mentioned it before but Marisa made the Honors Metro orchestra and actually auditions for which chair she will be this month. She also has the school Geography Bee this week- wish her luck!!
It looks like Tyler will get to test for his orange belt already next month. Bob has had to stop horsing around with him because he knows how to hit back now!! He spends tons of time reading the Guinness Book of world records. He loves trivia facts.
Kayla gets to start a new math club after school today. She is pretty excited. She also discovered she can make giant piles and run and jump over them and actually clear them. I told her she should look into doing hurdles for track.
We did have a good week getting back into the swing of things. Alayna was funny the first day, She said “Hey, where did everybody go?” I think she enjoyed having everyone around all Christmas- including daddy. We finished all our Star Wars movies except the last one. We have loved watching the last few as it now makes so much more sense and we love all the new additions! Tyler also spent Saturday making and painting his shark molds. I will have to send pictures.
Well, that’s about all that has been going on here. We are all happy and healthy and ready for a brand new year!!
