Saving bunnies and Super cute selfies
Cutest selfies with a guinea pig
Mother/daughter selfie
Baby Bunnies
Long story short, the mommy never came back. We called around and found the ONE woman in CR who rescues abandoned and orphaned baby bunnies. We were so happy we could help. She said they were beautiful and old enough that they'd be easy to save.
Alayna had a choir concert this week and Tyler had both band and choir concerts this week.
Then we ended up accidentally rearranging our living room. After 5 run throughs with the carpet cleaner water being black, it now looks pretty good! Marisa you wont recognize the place when you get back!

Happy Week
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers who have in our lives. We love you! Thanks to my girls for my beautiful birthday surprise!
Happy Birthday to me!
Well, I turned 43 this week and I had what I consider a perfect birthday!
Half price books
Michaels
Barnes and Noble (with a giftcard- woot woot)
Gordmans (bought myself new jeans and earrings)
Lunch with Bob at Panera Bread
Scholastic warehouse book sale. Took Kayla with me for a mom/daughter quality time while we spent over $1,000 of scholastic dollars on brand new books for both schools and got paid as a professional day.
Went with the family to Pancheros for dinner and cold stone for dessert.
Wore my new super comfy workout clothes watching the new season of 24.
Yep. Perfect Birthday
(Some of the 140 books I got for the middle school)
Megan’s Wedding
We went to Megan Sherwood's wedding reception last night. Their family used to do survivor parties with us! It was beautiful and once again reminded me how fast time goes.
I held the 1st AMS Battle of the Books on Friday and it was a huge success!
We had our very 1st Summer Reading Kickoff (that I got everyone registered for) Huge success and we were covered by the paper! We already have 20,000 minutes logged!!!
(Look closely- I am mentioned!)
Spent all yesterday on yard work and putting our garden in. We found a surprise…We tried to rebuild their next but their mom hasn’t come back.
Best news? We get to talk to Marisa tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Special visitors
Kayla had to take the baby home this week for parenting class. I got some good laughs in. It is much more realistic than the egg I had to take home and I sure am glad I am done having babies!
The babies hatched at the high school…
A cute puppy came to visit…
Students at the middle school know me well…
A couple other items of interest…
Mike Ritland, author of Navy SEAL dogs, wrote me back and said he would be more than happy to do an author visit with his dogs! I 'm so excited I can hardly stand it! I will call him this week to set it up.
I signed up all of my students for a summer reading program. I have partnered with the public library and we are reading with the global scholastic team to try and break the world record at 200 million minutes! The Anamosa paper is coming in the morning to cover our kick-off. Nervous but excited.
