I REALLY wanted to see the Grand Prismatic and while we had seen lots of buffalo far away, we still hadn't seen any up close.
The Grand Prismatic had lots of wind so it was a little hard to get great pics because of all the steam.
And then on our way out of the park, guess what we got to see!!!??? And look how close they were. What an awesome experience!!!
Yellowstone Lake:

I think because we were there later at night, it was less crowded which was nice! The geyser behind it was actually more active and old faithful was a little underwhelming.
We were so excited to go to Yellowstone! The last time we went through was 16 years ago and we don't remember much from that. We had a map and picked out all the amazing natural wonders we wanted to see! BUT we were stuck in the car for 2 hours because of traffic. Good thing we were excited and happy!
We had planned to do the lower loop, but everyone was turning that way so we did the loop the opposite way. It ended up being a 14 hour day from the time we left the cabin to the time we got back but wow! What a day!
