How is it September already ?!

Happy 17th Birthday Alayna! We celebrated with Olive Garden and Cold Stone!
Our server even brought her a special mini cake in honor of her birthday!
Thanks to Grandma Annie for the soft Minkie blanket!
She has been working hard this week on her applications to the BYU's.  She started her last semester and senior year!  Seminary starts tomorrow.  Its crazy how quickly it has all come up!
Happy Birthday to Brandon!!! I know they went camping this week so hopefully you had a great birthday, Brandon!

I had a ridiculously busy 1st week of school.  The exhaustion has been extra overwhelming.  I got several gifts from teachers which warmed my heart.  More and more are asking to work with me which is awesome and exhausting at the same time.

Our garden is doing great!  We made 7 jars of pizza sauce and the apples are coming in strong.

Here is a picture Tyler took this week

May time fly by quickly!  The Caribbean calls.

And so the school year begins...

I have Monday off and then its back to business!  I was at school 3 days this week to speak at the parent orientations and make sure the library is ready to go.  I am all set, but boy my body, mind, and spirit, prefer to stay home...

At work:

Last weekend, we took a day trip to Iowa City/ Coralville area.  We found a beautiful River Walk trail that we want to try biking some time

I knocked Hurts Donuts off my list and BOY were they AMAZING!!!

We hit the mall and I spent way too much time in the book store!
AND Alayna got me this awesome shirt!
Alayna is repainting her room- I cant get the color right but its a beautiful vibrant coral!
Yoga, Meditation, and Self Care are my mantra now.  I am feeling better and stronger and it has helped my fibro tremendously!

So, much of my summer has been doctor appointments, new meds, trying to get me better.  This month both Bob and I got our colonoscopy's!  I had mine last week. I came out of recovery pretty quickly (10-15 minutes) and even walked out to the car!
Bob on the other hand...it took him an hour to come out of it and he was so funny I was dying!  Why didnt I tape it???

Bob coming in from procedure: "Oh they did a great job with the anesthesia"

Bob: Hey you want to storm the castle with me?
Me: You want me to storm a castle with you?!
Bob: Sure!!!

He asked about several times if the doctor came in.  When I told him it went fine but they have to do a further test, he said, "They better not charge me full price!!"

When I asked how he was feeling, he got all excited and said loudly, "I'm on TOP of the world!!!" and then fell asleep!

The nurse asked him what he wanted to drink- he said apple juice.  He kept looking at the juice and was fascinated they knew whta he wanted.  He kept saying, "How did they know I wanted to apple juice??"

Pretty funny guy!

Wish me luck this week!

How is it August?!

It has been a very busy couple of weeks and time is speeding by! So much to do and so little time!

We got Tyler all moved in!  He has good roommates but doesn't see them much.  He is on the3rd floor so that was a little tricky on move-in day.  He says he really likes it there plus it is close to work!  He also comes to visit ince in a while and for Sunday dinners which is nice.  Yesterday he came over so we could watch Endgame again and make our famous PB rice crispies!

The bed frame arrived this week!
Our garden is flourishing!  We love having fresh produce.  Plus, a friend of mine sells her zucchini brownies and bread at the Farmers market, so I planted a zucchini plant for her. I give her zucchini, she brings mebread.  Considering how much I hate baking, this is an awesome deal!

We had a very busy doctor week!  On Monday, I had to take the guineas to the Vet.  Lily has a huge bald patch on her side and has been itching it like crazy.  No mite or lice which is good, but it may be an ovarian tumor.  We are going to leave it for now and keep meds on her side.  She is pretty old and the surgery would be tough.  Rosie had a mammory infection that was huge!  We took her in and got pain meds and antibiotics and she is doing much better.  They were even featured on the Vets page!
I had to take Jack in on Tuesday to get neutered.  I found out that if rabbits arent spayed or neutered, it shortens their life span and they can develop cancer.  He was giving me dirty looks the whole way home.
I am doing everything I can to enjoy what is left of summer.  Yesterday, Bob and I tried the new paved walking/biking trail by our house.  It is beautiful!
Ive been practicing my hair

And I even finally let Alayna do my nails...
Another busy week ahead!  May it feel slow!  Love to you all!
