Fall has arrived

You can tell its fall because we all start getting sick again.  The last 2 weeks all 4 of us have taken turns missing school or work because we were sick. UGH!

Alayna has been doing awesome!  She received an academic letter with Honors last year (she finally picked  it up) and was honored this year with an academic letter with Distinction!  She took the Act and has been looking at colleges.  This time next year she will actually be applying- how crazy is that??

She will also be inducted into the National Honor Society this week.  We are so proud of her and all her hard work!

We celebrated Tyler’s 20th birthday a little early.  All he wanted was to go with the family to see “Venom” on opening weekend. I admit I was not thrilled- it didnt look very good. But it was surprisingly good and super funny and I loved the soft heated seats we were in!  Then we tried a new Mexican restaurant and he got a fitbit for our gift.  Ive been kicking everyones butt on the fitbit- any of you want to join us let me know Smile

Our garden has been a huge success and we have made tons of fun stuff.  We didnt get as many apples this year but thats ok.

We had a wonderful conference weekend filled with crepes and family!  I love that we can skype with our loved ones far away!  It is pretty overwhelming to see all the changes happening so quickly in the church.  For me, the change to 2 hours will be huge.

School has been mind-spinningly busy!  We finally finished a month of NWEA testing (I proctored over 2,000 tests during that time).  We are now in the middle of book fair, book fair preview presentations, parent conference nights, literary pumpkins, breakout edus and much much more.  I have also pulled off a community connections activity on Halloween with 6th graders, 5 cops, and hundreds of donuts donated from walmart.  Watch that week for pictures.

So how am I surviving?  Bob found these amazing heated leg massagers. I race home, snuggle up on my memory foam, throw on my weighted blanket and leg massagers and convince myself I can make it another day…

Also, our bond was passed so pray hard for me. Im hoping to transfer to the brand new 5th/6th grade building the year 2020 and it is being built less than a mile away from our house!

To sum it all up…
