The weather has been insane! So much snow and sub zero temps! This
past week students only had a half day of school. Temps will be making
record low next weeks so I think we will have more cancellations and be
in school until July. Its stupid. And cold. And the cold hurts. And I
wish I was in the Caribbean. But the days off have been much needed!
The drifts from the blowing snow were very high!
The thing on the left is our grill
Somuch shoveling- even did it after church with our church clothes on.
Wind chills have been down to –40 and they are predicting below –50 next week.
Todays pic:
On
the 1 day I had school (PD for teachers) I got some frantic calls from
Alayna. She had sliced her finger on a pear can lid and was bleeding a
lot. I raced home, we cleaned out and took her to the walkin clinic.
She had to get a tetanus shot (boo) but didnt cut deep enough for
stitches (yeah) . They cleaned it out and its been healing great! She
has registered for classes and will be graduating early next January!
Whoohoo!
It was like trying to climb Mount Everest just to get to the mailbox!
But
I have been working hard so far this year on many things. One is
finding beauty in the things I cannot change. Its hard to see but the
snow drifts and print the wind left were quite beautiful!
Again hard to see but when the sun came out it was like everything was covered in glitter!
There is a group of turkeys who cross my way home almost every day. I love seeing them. They are huge!
If only I could truly capture the sunsets with the snow!
There
is something inherently beautiful about this. I like its me- trying to
bloom with bad weather, health problems, etc. But I CAN bloom.

Happy New Year! (14 days late lol)
Ready for the New Year! Lots of great goals and fun plans!
We loved having Marisa for Christmas. It was super relaxing and fun! We missed Brandon, Kayla and Ellie though!!!!
Loved seeing Aquaman on Christmas Eve. Plus an unplanned shopping for and sneaky drop off of groceries to a needy family in the ward!
Christmas Day was wonderful!
Traditional crepes!
Wonderful gifts! Thank you dad for the beautiful handpainted Nutcrackers!
In fact we were so relaxed I barely took any notes or pictures! Oh well!
Ready to conquer some goals and make this year better than the last!
And we got our 1st snow…
