The drifts from the blowing snow were very high!
The thing on the left is our grill
Somuch shoveling- even did it after church with our church clothes on.
Wind chills have been down to –40 and they are predicting below –50 next week.
Todays pic:
On the 1 day I had school (PD for teachers) I got some frantic calls from Alayna. She had sliced her finger on a pear can lid and was bleeding a lot. I raced home, we cleaned out and took her to the walkin clinic. She had to get a tetanus shot (boo) but didnt cut deep enough for stitches (yeah) . They cleaned it out and its been healing great! She has registered for classes and will be graduating early next January! Whoohoo!
It was like trying to climb Mount Everest just to get to the mailbox!
But I have been working hard so far this year on many things. One is finding beauty in the things I cannot change. Its hard to see but the snow drifts and print the wind left were quite beautiful!
Again hard to see but when the sun came out it was like everything was covered in glitter!
There is a group of turkeys who cross my way home almost every day. I love seeing them. They are huge!
If only I could truly capture the sunsets with the snow!
There is something inherently beautiful about this. I like its me- trying to bloom with bad weather, health problems, etc. But I CAN bloom.
Hug sand love from the state where the air hurts our face!
