First Snow
We got our 1st snow of the year. It melted by the afternoon. Not sure we are ready for winter! We didn’t have enough to make snow angels, but we also didn’t have to shovel!
IPod Touch
Tyler has been saving all his money like crazy, even sacrificing bday presents. He finally earned enough to get his Ipod Touch. He thought he would DIE waiting for it to come in the mail. When it finally did, he could hardly contain his excitement and he had a posse of sisters following him around to check it out. The only thing is I’ve barely seen his face since.
Acceptance
Marisa submitted her application to BYU-Provo and BYU-Idaho this week. Two days later she received her acceptance to BYU-Idaho. It was so exciting, but she is still holding out for acceptance to BYU-Provo. I wanted to share some of the mail she has been getting lately too.
Making Christmas Cards for Cousins
For my side of the family, we are doing a Christmas Card exchange with the cousins. Here we are working hard on them.
My attempt at being “crafty”. Decorating these flowers to go on our dresses for the wedding. We fly out in exactly one week. Hope you Ribera’s are ready for us!
More Apples
Tyler and Marisa experimented and made apple pie in loaf form! Turned out super yummy!
Band Concert
Tyler has his jazz band and band concert. He had 2 solos and did an awesome job on his trombone!

You guys will be more prepared for that snow in Ut. than we will...Alayna in short sleeves!!! Congrats Marisa...Princeton and Yale! Goodness girl, not alot of people can say that they've been accepted to ivy league schools. Tyler will you please teach our kids how to SAVE money for a large ticket item. I absolutely refuse to go into a dollar store anymore because they want to spend their dollars right when the get them on cheap things that break. Congrats on setting a goal and achieving it. Can't wait to see you guys next week!
Thanks Nina! I have to clarify she wasnt accepted to the Ivy league schools bc she didnt apply. They just keep contacting her over her GPA and ACT scores trying to talk her into applying.
So SORRY to hear about the snow...it's still in the 40-50s here, haha.
Did I mention that I am STILL SO JEALOUS of your apple crop....tell Marisa to send me that recipe for the apple pie in loaf form. Looks delicious. See you in a WEEK.
