They will have to fill in all the activities they did. Im just sharing pics!
They missed their flight home so they came back a day late which was probably for the best since Bob got really sick with a sinus and lung infection. Glad they are home safe- thanks to the Harts for having them! They had a wonderful time!

Life continues...
Monday I didnt have school so I had a day for me. Even though it was cold, it was nice to be outside. I got a haircut, went out to lunch with Bob, etc. It was a really nice day.
Wednesday was a snow day again. We are now up to June 10! But I spent the day snuggled up and reading some great books!
Look at the snow build up on my library windows- we are very worried about the snow melting now...
This is what roads in southern CR look like now
Kayla, Brandon, Ellie and Marisa were up in SLC yesterday for a planning meeting for Portugal and spending time with the Riberas! Wish we could be there! Bob and Tyler fly out on Tuesday to AZ for a week to visit the Harts. Wish Alayna and I could go too! My bookfair arrives this week! Its been crazy busy.
We found Coco an amazing new home with an older couple and a new mom who LOVES snuggles! We are trying to find excellent homes for them before Alayna heads off to college next year. They said he is so happy and has some new furry friends!

Happy Valentines Day- Oh, and more snow...
We had a wonderful Valentines Day! Bob knows me so well! Beautiful roses, a BB8 Valentines pop-up card and a freshly made cinnamon roll from the Kettle House!
We enjoyed our traditional heart-shaped pizza too!
We had a ridiculous amount of snow drop last weekend. We spent several hours shoveling and snow blowing. It was VERY heavy wet snow. I think its fair to say the minute we retire we are out of here!
The beauty this week:
We have this really cool thing that has happened several times over the past few months where the sun actually looks like a flame. I tried to capture it but didnt so I stole this picture from my friend Patty :)

Snow, Cold, Ice, Snow, Cold, Ice...
Well, this past week was even nuttier than the week I posted about. I have never seen a winter like this! The exciting thing is most of my spring cleaning and organizing is done!
I think S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder) is a VERY real thing. Its one thing to have the joy of the days off, but never being able to go outside is just so miserable. And when we do go out its miserably cold! and Miserable! We have missed almost 10 days of school with a storm coming today, one on Monday and another doozy Thursday to Friday! Make it stop!!! We hit an all time record low of -30 actual temp and we almost hit -60 with windchills. The pain has been pretty unbearable.
Her car was solid ice- she had to use boiling water to
clear it off!
One day we even had thunder, lightning and hail!!!
You do science experiments and fun in the snow (only for a few seconds or you DIE!):
We thought he
would go straight throw all the feet of snow- but apparently the cold had
turned it to solid ice! Poor sore Tyler!
See my facebook page for videos.
Hot bunny yoga! Jack was not amused and doesnt like child pose. He likes to run around downward dog though.
As a way to be daring, I planned an in depth re-enactment of the fight scene in the Last Jedi (Thats Luke and Kylo Ren) in the snow, BUT my sliding door is frozen solid and once again the ice and cold thwarted my plan!
Skype with Ellie (and Kayla lol)
Look at this beautiful image of our frozen parking lot one morning!
Alayna and Tylers quilts came back from Project Repat and
turned out beautiful!

Snow, Snow…oh, and more snow…
The weather has been insane! So much snow and sub zero temps! This
past week students only had a half day of school. Temps will be making
record low next weeks so I think we will have more cancellations and be
in school until July. Its stupid. And cold. And the cold hurts. And I
wish I was in the Caribbean. But the days off have been much needed!
The drifts from the blowing snow were very high!
The thing on the left is our grill
Somuch shoveling- even did it after church with our church clothes on.
Wind chills have been down to –40 and they are predicting below –50 next week.
Todays pic:
On the 1 day I had school (PD for teachers) I got some frantic calls from Alayna. She had sliced her finger on a pear can lid and was bleeding a lot. I raced home, we cleaned out and took her to the walkin clinic. She had to get a tetanus shot (boo) but didnt cut deep enough for stitches (yeah) . They cleaned it out and its been healing great! She has registered for classes and will be graduating early next January! Whoohoo!
It was like trying to climb Mount Everest just to get to the mailbox!
But I have been working hard so far this year on many things. One is finding beauty in the things I cannot change. Its hard to see but the snow drifts and print the wind left were quite beautiful!
Again hard to see but when the sun came out it was like everything was covered in glitter!
There is a group of turkeys who cross my way home almost every day. I love seeing them. They are huge!
If only I could truly capture the sunsets with the snow!
There is something inherently beautiful about this. I like its me- trying to bloom with bad weather, health problems, etc. But I CAN bloom.
Hug sand love from the state where the air hurts our face!
